KOREAN STAR WANG EMERGES AS AFRASIA BANK MAURITIUS OPEN
2016 WINNER
The tournament was played from12-15May 2016 at Four Seasons Golf ClubMauritius at Anahita.
126 international players competed for a prize purse of EUR 1 million, the highest purse ever to
be paid out for a golf tournament in Mauritius.
Jeunghun Wang was crowned champion of the AfrAsiaOpen 2016. Both Wang and Siddikur
Rahman were the only two players to finish under par, with Nicolas Colsaerts and Estanislao
Goya at level par, a shot clear of Andrew Dodt. Wang finished as the youngest player and first
Asian player to win European Tour events in consecutive weeks.
In addition to a unique opportunity to play alongside the professionals present during the tournament, we also
wanted to share with you some of the fun a few of our clients had during the PRO-AMs.
