The AfrAsian - Issue 20, July 2014 - page 2-3

Dear Clients and Friends of AfrAsia Bank,
We are pleased to present the latest issue of our newsleƩer which covers the different acƟviƟes we
have been involved in recently.
In line with our firm objecƟve to render your experience with us, a fruiƞul and long-lasƟng one, we
are delighted to present you our refreshed website with two dedicated microsites to our Private
Banking and InternaƟonal Banking business lines to provide you the opportunity of a seamless
browsing experience with a more customised offering of our banking soluƟons. We understand that
a transiƟonal period is a requisite in Ɵmes of change, hence the reason behind incorporaƟng a video
demo on how to navigate through the sites.
We remain commiƩed to upholding our corporate philosophy and being the believers of Africa.
With the mining sector being recognised today as one of the pillars of the African economy, our
presence and associaƟon to the Mines and Money MauriƟus conference allowed us to accompany
potenƟal clients in their expansion strategy while consolidaƟng the island as a financial hub for
mining companies worldwide looking to use theMauriƟan IFC for their investments on the conƟnent.
To further opƟmise the growth potenƟal of Africa, we were also present at the 3rd China Offshore
Summit, held in Beijing, which you will be able to read more in this newsleƩer.
Our AfrAsia Barcelona Club program has been a success so far, with the 24 finalists flying to Spain for
training. We would like to congratulate the children and their parents who have many reasons to be
proud. Our affiliaƟon to this one-of-a kind iniƟaƟve, a first in Sub Saharan Africa, is a thought-through
strategic move as we develop our global reach and provide excepƟonal rewards to talented players,
allowing them to reach their full potenƟal and simultaneously contribute to the development of the
MauriƟan sports.
Aligned with reinforcing the cross-cultural arƟsƟc ideology and promoƟng emerging local and
internaƟonal arƟsts, we were delighted to welcome Bamba Sourang, a Senegalese-born arƟst based
in France, for his first solo exhibiƟon in MauriƟus and to showcase his art pieces at the AfrAsia World
of Art.
For now, I wish you a pleasant read and look forward to share more exciƟng news in the months
ahead.
Best regards
James Benoit, CFA
