The Golf de Guérande welcomed its inaugural Derby Golf 2014 on 30 - 31
August in Guérande, France. This 36-hole stroke play event played over two
days, witnessed the participation of 120 golfers.
With clients in 105 countries, AfrAsia Bank was honoured to be among the
sponsors of the Derby Golf 2014, reinforcing thus its philosophy to build
bridges between Africa, Asia and the world while also showcasing Mauritius
as a lifestyle and financial destination.
2014 Derby Golf de Guérande
The second Annual AfrAsia International 7’s Rugby Tournament was held on
the 11th and 12th October at the Northfields Sports Club, Mauritius. Our
collaboration with Rugby Union Mauritius to organise this event provided us
with an excellent opportunity to deepen our local involvement and contribute
to the economic progress as we connect in a meaningful way with our
stakeholders.
Outeniqua from South Africa were crowned as winners, following exciting
matches among the ten teams battling it out during the tournament.

AfrAsia International 7’s Rugby Tournament
The third edition of the AfrAsia Tecoma Award 2014, honouring the best of the local business community whose courage, foresight and
determination have created and sustained successful, growing business ventures was held on Friday 17
th
October at Vivea Business Park, Moka.
Aisha Allee from Blast Communication became the first woman to be honoured with such recognition.
